Our Secret Society is no longer a secret!

Today it was time for the Final Pitch in Crossover Nordic at the Nordisk Panorama 5 Cities Film Festival in Malmö, with the results from the lab. Six very interesting ideas were pitched - each project very different from the others. The jury had a hard time determining the winner of the development prize of 100 000 SEK but came to a unified decision.

The winner of this years Crossover Nordic pitch was Andreas Öhman and Maria Ahlin with their project Our Secret Society.

"Our Secret Society is an interactive game and web-series telling the story of 4 girls as they explore their sexuality. With an aim at 13-16 year old girls with some or none experience of sex we let them try out pre-sexual situations in a safe and fun environment. Playing the free web-based game, involving the 4 characters from the web-series, is a way for young teenager girls to approach sex without the risk of being harmed physically or judged for doing right or wrong."

Motivation

The panel committees motivation for selecting the winning project was based on:

  • The great idea and subject matter of the project - that it promotes education and information to an audience in need and it naturally promotes interactive participation.
  • The topic and importance of the many issues raised by the content of the project.
  • The use and solution of cross platform integration in the full project.
  • The team work and passion for the topic.
  • The way in which we the panel believe the funds can help the development and realization of this project in terms of scope, concept, realistic size. It is simply a concept that has the potential to live "on its own" and continue to be followed by teens for a long time.

In the panel comittee were Are Nundal, SVTi, Anders Karlsson, Telia Sonera, Erik Robertson, Nordic Game Program, Klara Grunning- Harris, Kudos Family och Tomas Eskilsson, Film i Väst.
