The winner of this years´ SF Nordic Talent Pitch is Lisa Bergstöm (Sweden) and her project The Undertaker Students. The jury´s motivation:
"With a potential to both entertain and touch a universal audience. The jury has decided to award a project about an inevitable tabu, handled in an original, humorous and warm way."
The idea was simple! At the 19th Nordisk Panorama, Svensk Film industri production in the Nordic countries invited all directors and screenwriters of the official competition programme to pitch an idea for a new feature length film - documentary or fiction.
The participants each had seven minutes to pitch their idea - without technical aid - before the jury of Svensk Filmindustri, as well as the audience. The prize includes 95 000 SEK for the development of the project, for Svensk Filmindustri, during 2009.
The members of the jury Ulf Synnerholm, SF Production, Sweden, Catti Edfeldt, SF Production, Sweden, Jarkko Hentula, Juonifilmi Oy, Finland, Matti Halonen, Juonifilmi Oy, Finland, Gudny Hummelvoll, SF, Norway and Karoline Leth, SF Film Production, Denmark listened to seven pitches. After a twenty minutes intense discussion the jury was unified.
